Today I visited Kyou Ramen which just opened this month in Englewood, NJ!  They are a small shop with 2 tables (2 seats and 4 seats), and open kitchen counter seats. It's pretty much self service, you place your order at the cashier and get your ramen at the counter.
Interesting name, as the kanji character 狂 means crazy.
今日はイングルウッド、ニュージャージーで今月オープンしたばかりの狂ラーメンへ行ってきました！小さいお店で２人テーブル、４人テーブル各１つ、カウンター７席。レジで注文して出来たらセルフで取りに行くスタイルでした。カウンター座ると直接丼を置いてくれます。なんで狂って名前にしたんだろう。

I ordered the Shoyu Ramen  $9.99  Comes with 2 pieces chashu, half egg, memma, scallions, nori, and onions (hidden under the nori). 醤油ラーメンを注文　$9.99   チャーシュー2枚、半玉、メンマ、ネギ、海苔、タマネギ（海苔の下に隠れてる）が付いてきます。

Tenho Ramen - Murray Hill, NY 🇺🇸 、天炮ラーメン − マレーヒル、ニューヨーク

Went out for some drinks with my friends and decided to go to Tenho Ramen before going home!
This is my second visit to the Kurume style ramen shop that just opened in Midtown.
今日は友達と飲みに行った後の〆に天炮ラーメンへ行ってきました！新しくミッドタウンに出来た久留米ラーメン店、2度目の訪問です。

I chose the Spicy Ramen $16.00. It is their tonkotsu ramen with minced spicy pork added.

スパイシーラーメンを注文$16.00。普通の豚骨ラーメンに辛肉味噌がトッピング。

Thin noodles. The minced pork wasn't overly spicy, about the right amount for me. Even if you are not good with spicy food, this should be good.  

細麺  辛みそもそこまで辛くなくて個人的にはちょうど良い感じ。辛いの苦手でも問題なく食べれます。

My friend had the Washugyu Ramen. As the name says, it has washugyu (Japanese beef) as topping.

Back to Hide-Chan Ramen in Hell's Kitchen, as I haven't been here in a little while. They have a good happy hour deal so I like to go there for ramen and some beer. Since this was my second bowl today, I went with the Bonito Ramen which has a little lighter soup.
今日は久々に秀ちゃんラーメンに訪問。既にラーメン１杯食べてたけどハッピーアワーにつられて行ってしまった。と言うことで２杯目はあっさりしているボニート（かつおダシ）ラーメンをチョイス。

Bonito Ramen $14.00 Good bonito and garlic flavor. Comes with lots of scallions and 2 large chashu.
ボニートラーメン$14.00 程よいカツオとニンニク風味。ネギ沢山と大きめチャーシュー2枚付き。

You can choose thin or wavy noodles. I went with thin this time. 細麺か縮れ麺か選べます。細麺をチョイス。

My second visit to Danbo Ramen in Park Slope, Brooklyn for a late lunch! I enjoyed their classic Fukuoka tonkotsu ramen last time but wanted to try the goma negi ramen (sesame scallion)!
今日は遅めの昼食にブルックリン・パークスロープにあるラーメン暖暮へ2度目の訪問！
前回は福岡とんこつラーメンをいただきましたが今回は気になってたごまネギラーメン！

Negi Goma Ramen - White sesame oil, sesame, and lots of scallion - $11.95. I ordered the lunch set A (11:00am - 5:00pm weekdays) which is extra $3.50 for one topping and 3 pieces gyoza. My topping choice was Karashi Takana. 

ネギごまラーメン - 白ゴマ油、白ゴマ、ネギ入りで$11.95  今日はランチセットAを注文。トッピング１つに餃子３つ付いてくる(11:00am - 5:00pmまで）

You get to choose the firmness of noodles, thickness of broth and amount of spicy sauce for this one.

I chose thin extra firm noodles, thick broth, and regular spicy sauce.

Today I visited Tenichi Ramen in the Cobble Hill area of Brooklyn. They have their original shop in Park Slope and this is their second shop. Since I tried their signature Tenichi Ramen (tonkotsu) in the Park Slope shop previously, I decided to try the Tan Tan Ramen.

Today I visited Mr. Taka Ramen which just opened in beginning of June at the TimeOut Market in Dumbo section Brooklyn! Very nice market with lots of restaurants right by Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge!
今日はブルックリンのダンボ地区にオープンしたばかりのTimeOut Marketにあるミスターたかラーメンに行ってきました。フードコート形式で沢山のレストランがあり、マンハッタンブリッジとブルックリン ブリッジのすぐ近くで観光客が沢山きていました。

Mr. Taka Ramen has their first NY shop in Lower Eastside, NYC, and second shop, Karakatta in Greenwich Village, NYC (see my previous posts for info). They have a shop in Tokyo called Bigiya and has been listed in the Michelin Bib Gourmand Tokyo 5 years in a row.

Visited Ippin Ramen in Oakhurst, NJ! Oakhurst is near Monmouth University, a little south of Long Branch.

Nishida Shoten - Midtown East, NY 🇺🇸 西田商店 − ミッドタウンイースト、ニューヨーク

It's been a while since I have been to Nishida Shoten in Midtown East so I decided to go today.
It's a small shop with tight counter seats and some tables, somewhat like small shops in Japan.
今日はしばらく行っていなかったので西田商店に行ってきました。
狭いカウンター席とテーブル数個の小さいお店です。

I had their White ramen, which is their basic tonkotsu ramen with kakuni pork. Comes with 2 pcs kakuni, half ajitama, nori, onions, bok choy, and scallions

白角煮ラーメンをいただきました。トッピングは角煮２個、半玉、海苔、玉ねぎ、チンゲンサイ、ネギ。

Storefront - I noticed after I ate that they also opened a Chicken soup based ramen shop right next door.  店の前 - 食べ終わってから気が付いたけどすぐ隣に鶏白湯のラーメン店を始めたみたい

The prices here are reasonable. They are open late so may be good for the younger crowd on a night out. 
値段は安め。遅くまで営業しているので飲みに行った後に現地の人が行くのにいいのかな。

Tenho Ramen - Murray Hill, NY 🇺🇸 、天炮ラーメン − マレーヒル、ニューヨーク

New ramen shop, Tenho Ramen, just opened in the Murray Hill section of Manhattan in end of May 2019. They specialize in Kurume Style tonkotsu ramen, which I believe is a first in NY. Kurume tonkotsu is said to be the original thick tonkotsu popular in Fukuoka. So far this is just a Soft Opening so menu is not a full menu and they are only open from 5pm to 10pm. They said they should be fully opened in July.

ニューヨーク、マレーヒルで新しいラーメン店、天炮ラーメンが5月末にソフトオープン！ニューヨーク初の久留米ラーメン店です。ソフトオープンと言うことなので現在の営業時間は午後5時から午後10時までで、メニューもまだ仮メニュー。7月にはフル営業予定とのことです。

This is their signature Kurume Tonkotsu, Tenho Ramen. Comes with 2 pork belly chasu, half ajitama, woodear mushroom, nori seaweed, and scallions. Bowl is small but decent amount of noodles. Very good rich tonkotsu soup.

久留米とんこつラーメン。豚バラチャーシュー2枚、半玉、木耳、海苔、ネギがトッピング。丼は小さ目だけど麺の量は普通かな。豚骨スープは濃厚で美味しかったです。

Thin straight noodles, a tad thicker than the Hakata style.

博多豚骨の細麺よりちょっとだけ太い感じのストレート細麺。

I'm sure this shop will be packed once they are fully opened, definitely worth a try if in NYC.
